Overview of the mtcars dataset

The data was extracted from the 1974 Motor Trend US magazine, and comprises fuel consumption and 10 aspects of automobile design and performance for 32 automobiles (1973-74 models). The dataset is composed by 32 observations x 11 variables

Influence of individual features over mpg

Goal:

This project makes an initial study about the influence of individual features over the miles per gallon value. The following results are showed for the selected feature:

  • Summary of a linear model to explain mpg values
  • Graphical view of the regression linear model
  • Boxplot to measure the influence of each level of the selected feature over the mpg
  • Histogram (with the number of means selected for the user)
